I Did It
I passed my Check-ride and I successfully flew my solo. I've got to study for a 0630 Simulator tomorrow morning, so I won't go into detail, but it was awesome.

That's fantastic. Way to go!
Just enjoyed the excellent and (from my perspective) somewhat scary movie, "Flyboys."
To think that, in 1917, they'd send pilots up to do battle with just two months' training! I suppose the duration is directly tied to the cost of the equipment but, anyway, thank God for the fine training that you're getting.
Congratulations from 2 OLD sailor friends in New Zealand now. What an awesome accomplishment.
